the lesser type of epileptic seizure which is IDIOPATHIC . It consists of brief periods (seconds) of UNCONSCIOUSNESS , when the eyes stare blankly but posture is maintained. Children suffering from it frequently may have learning difficulties but the condition may disappear in adult life.
