a viral disease with a high mortality rate. After the INCUBATION period there is headache, fever, severe internal bleeding, diarrhoea and vomiting. Death may follow, usually eight or nine days later. SERUM taken from someone recovering from the disease is a useful source of ANTIBODIES .
