Siamese twins

MONOZYGOTIC TWINS who are joined together physically at birth. The condition varies from superficial joining, e.g by the umbilical vessels, to major fusion of head, torso and internal organs. The latter cases are inevitably very much more difficult to separate. The condition is caused by foetuses developing from the same OVUM where division into two embyos does not occur.
