pedicle

1. a narrow roll of SKIN by which a piece of skin for grafting is attached. It is used when it is not possible to place an independent GRAFT on the site, perhaps because of poor blood supply. 2. a narrow neck of tissue connecting a TUMOUR to its tissue of a origin.
