paranoia

an abnormal mental condition typified by delusions associated with a certain complicated system that usually involves feelings or persecution or grandeur. The complex web of delusion may develop with time, and with some logic, so that it may appear plausible and the person seems normal in other aspects of behaviour, except for that involving the delusions.
