a double layer of the peritoneal MEMBRANE ( PERITONEUM ), which is attached to the back wall of the ABDOMEN . It supports a number of abdominal organs, including the STOMACH , small INTESTINE , SPLEEN and PANCREAS , and contains associated NERVES , LYMPH and BLOOD VESSELS .
