a large CELL , many of which are found in loose CONNECTIVE TISSUE . The CYTOPLASM contains numerous granules with chemicals important in the body, including HISTAMINE , SEROTONIN , HEPARIN and the antibody IMMUNOGLOBULIN E. All are important in allergic and inflammatory responses.
