lipidosis
also: lipoidosis
(pl.-ses) any disorder of lipid metabolism within the cells of the body. The brain lipidoses (see GAUCHER'S DISEASE , HUNTER'S SYNDROME , HURLER'S SYNDROME , TAY-SACHS DISEASE ) are inborn defects causing the accumulation of lipids within the brain.
