kyphosis
an abnormal outward curvature of the SPINAL COLUMN causing the back to be hunched. There is an increased curvature of the spine, which may be caused by weak musculature or bad posture (mobile kyphosis) or it may result from collapsed VERTEBRAE (fixed kyphosis), as in OSTEOPOROSIS of the aged.
