ketoconazole
an antifungal drug ( see IMIDAZOLE ) used in the treatment of such fungal diseases as CANDIDOSIS , HISTOPLASMOSIS , and BLASTOMYCOSIS . It is taken by mouth; side-effects include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, and vomiting. Trade name: Nizoral.
