Hodgkin's disease

a malignant disease of unknown cause affecting the LYMPHATIC SYSTEM , in which there is a gradual and increasing enlargement of lymph glands and nodes throughout the body. The accompanying symptoms include loss of weight, sweating, ANAEMIA and a characteristic type of fever (known as Pel-Ebstein fever). The person becomes gradually weaker and the glands may attain a very large size. The outlook is good, especially if the disease is detected early.
