a form of OTITIS , common in children, which occurs as an inflammation of the middle EAR , with the production of a persistent sticky fluid. It can cause deafness and may be associated with enlarged ADENOIDS . In treatment of the condition, the adenoids may be removed and GROMMETS inserted.
