a person who donates part of his/her body for use in other people. BLOOD is the most common donation, but many tissues and organs are now used, including KIDNEYS , LIVERS , HEARTS , SKIN , CORNEAS , BONE MARROW , etc. Organ donations occur when the donor has been certified as BRAIN-STEM dead.
