BILE in the URINE , which occurs when there is an elevated level of bile in the BLOOD . This may result from the condition known as obstructive JAUNDICE , when the bile ducts become obstructed so that bile manufactured in the liver fails to reach the intestine. The urine is dark coloured and contains bile salts.
