ataxia

a loss of coordination in the limbs as a result of a disorder of the CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM . There may be a disease of the SENSORY nerves (sensory ataxia) or of the CEREBELLUM (cerebellar ataxia). An ataxic person produces clumsy movements and lacks fine control.
