aluminium hydroxide

a safe slow-acting antacid. It is administered by mouth, alone or in combination with other antacids, in the treatment of indigestion, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and reflux OESOPHAGITIS . Trade names: Alu-Cap, Aludrox.

Aluminum hydroxide is used for the relief of heartburn, sour stomach, and peptic ulcer pain and to promote the healing of peptic ulcers.
