an individual affected by ALBINISM who typically has pink skin and eyes and white hair. The pink colour is imparted by blood in the blood vessels in the skin, which, in a normal person, is masked by the presence of the pigment MELANIN . Albino people additionally suffer from poor eyesight and have increased sensitivity to sunlight, tending to burn easily.
