a bubble of air in a BLOOD VESSEL that interferes with the outward flow of blood from the right VENTRICLE of the heart. The air may enter the CIRCULATION after an injury, surgery or infusion into a VEIN . The symptoms are CHEST pain and BREATHLESSNESS , leading to acute HEART FAILURE .
